Find your home position

Place your fingers lightly on the home row. The small bumps on F and J tell your pointing fingers where to return without looking down.

• Keep both thumbs relaxed on or just above the space bar.
• Let each finger reach its own keys, then return to the home row after every stroke.
• Keep your wrists straight and shoulders loose—accuracy matters more than speed.
